Competitive Intelligence Course

OTB Competitive Intelligence Courses

Businesses, Entrepreneurs, Investors, Politicians and Governments build their strategies based on information. It is a critical ingredient in the process of strategic decision making. Without it, businesses will never know who they are dealing with, politicians will never be able to argue better than the other candidates or maybe discredit them, governments will never be able to ensure their security and prosperity.

In our contemporary business world competition is everywhere. Companies gather information on other’s products, steal patents, organizational data, blueprints and even steal high value employees. Entrepreneurs and investors do credibility checks on high-value funds and investments to know exactly how safe an investment is. Governments spy on each other to be one step ahead; both on their enemies and friends.

This course will present the main characteristics of Competitive Intelligence, aiming to give its students a better understanding of the contemporary business world and the concept of CI. Several intelligence frameworks and methods will be presented and explained as well as some practical methods to gather intelligence. During the course, students will learn what CI is and how to benefit from it in their companies. They will learn the difference between CI and Industrial Espionage and learn some counter intelligence methods in order to be aware and protect their companies and businesses from harmful attacks. At the end of this course the students will be able to develop business strategies with the use of CI.
